Stimulus Package Contains
‘Buy American’ Provision

Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing Incorporated Meets the ‘Buy American’ Provision with Products Manufactured in the United States.

On February 17, 2009 the ‘Buy American’ provision of the Stimulus Package became law. Section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) requires that all of the iron and steel and “manufactured goods” used in ARRA-funded projects for construction, alteration, maintenance or repair of “a public building or public work” be “produced in the United States.”

The goal of the ‘Buy American’ provision is to aid the nation’s economic recovery by boosting domestic manufacturing output and employment.  With unemployment reaching it’s highest rate in a quarter of a century, the provision is expected to combat that trend by providing increased job opportunities in the manufacturing sector.

Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing Incorporated is headquartered in the U.S., right in the heart of Texas, where they manufacture a wide range of domestically produced products in its four plants located in Elberton, GA; Carlisle, PA; Terrell, TX and Wylie, TX. Don’t risk losing out on a stimulus-funded project by using products that may have been produced outside the United States. Be sure to use American-made materials on your next ARRA project by specifying CCW.
